In case anyone is dying to download it :)SOCOM FTB3 up on PSN
Wait Wait Wait....If I understand this correctly, if you want to play the game online you will end up paying $60? I would think that Gamespots review being at 6/10 is actually generous for that price. This is how they plan to stop hackers??????SOCOM FTB3 up on PSN
Wait. It's 60 dollars!?Oh god, I'm dying to check

Huh? The game goes for $40 and comes with two add-on packs at that price. Where is your $60 price coming from? I am not really interested in online games anyway, but I haven't seen anything about any additional charges for this game.

Then under it there is an entitlement purchase for $19.99 that will enable the online mode in the game. Thats $60 total for someone that wants to play the game online, which would probably be at least 50-60% of people that would want to buy it.
I could be wrong and the entitlement purchase is just for second-hand purchases.
^ Yea that's probably it.So I'm guessing that only applies to a UMD copy
^ Yea that's probably it.So I'm guessing that only applies to a UMD copy
That's what I would imagine. Isn't the UMD copy $40 as well.

So if someone buys the game used and they would not be able to use the code on the back of the manual if it was already used on someone elses PSP then you can pay $20 for a new one. Makes sense, hence the ''Second-hand purchase''. Duh eejus. But now this poses another problem for you 1000-3000 owners. In the future, you go to Gamestop and buy the game for say at the time $24.99 used. How would you be able to tell if that code has been used or not. If it has and you want to play online, you will need to pay the $19.99 for a new one so all in all you would end up paying $44.98 (without any taxes) which would be more than the cost of a new game.I do like that they are doing this to try to prevent hackers from getting into the games and ruining them and I hope it works but buyers beware.
Luckily, I could care less about online play. But really - It (a code) won't prevent people from doing what they wanna do to the game like a $2 hooker.

This is set up so they can track each PSP that is playing. They aren't stopping the actual hacking but more like shutting out people that do it. I hope it works.
So do I. I've been hoping for a punk-buster that actually works for YEARS.
Im playing it right now....But i suggest everyone purchase it on psn because you dont have to worry about the online add-on pack and you can always have it wherever you go. Its only a little over 1gb.
Seen any evidence of cheating online?
So do I. I've been hoping for a punk-buster that actually works for YEARS.
The thing is that some users of punk buster like to play god once in a while. That will always be a problem.

If this system works, I might buy the game sooner than when the price drops to rock-bottom. But until they have conclusively proven that their system actually works, no Pesos, Amigo.
Seen any evidence of cheating online?
no i havent but if there is theres a vote out thing that you can do.
I pre-ordered and got my extra guns for MP. Haven't picked it up yet, though.
