Do you think Sony will put PS2 games on ...

It's possible, because the PSP has similiar graphics like the PS2 had and more capabilities to boot. And would it be awesome to take Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts 1-2, and Sly Cooper where ever you go?Do you think Sony will put PS2 games on ...
They probably won't anytime soonbut I would love it if they didDo you think Sony will put PS2 games on ...
It would be harder to emulate the controls as most PS2 games used all buttons on the controller where as only a few PS games used all buttons. They would only have a small selection of games to port if they were going to do it for the PSP.
No, because the PSP isn't powerful enough to emulate the PS2's hardware, unlike the PS1. They'd have to port them or make them from scratch, and the effort just isn't worth it for the most part.
Never, don't hold your breath.
I don't believe the two system are compatible with one another. They'd have to be ported over. For example.... those GTA, Silent Hill games and the upcoming Persona 3 are specifically made for the PSP and the PS2, separately.
Hmmm....Well it was just a thought anyway.:(
Impossible. The PSP is not powerful enough to play PS2 games. Period. They say the PSP 2 will almost be as powerul as a PS2... so the PSP is far from the PS2 in terms of hardware...

The PSPs power is pretty good and can produce good looking stuff. But remember that is on a smaller pix-elated screen.
The PSP just isn't powerful enough to run PS2 games. It's close, but not close enough.

Plus there's the lack of a second analogue stick. I'd rather see Sony focus on original games for the PSP rather than just direct ports.

they will and it will fail miserably

Emulating and porting are completely different. They can and have imported games from the PS2, and to do so, the game needs to be created specifically for the PSP.

Even PSX runned those CG cutscenes. Those cutscenes are like mpeg4 videos. It is not in game cutscenes.
Why do you need PS2 games to be on PSN?From Software has already ported its own PS2 games on PSP (Armored Core and Tenchu and some other games that are exclusive to Japan). The problem is the controls. It is like ell to play Armored Core without the right analog stick.Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics games are ported on PSP already. We already have new PS2 games on PSP (Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, Motorstorm: Arctic Edge, Tekken 5, Tekken 6 (even it is a next-gen game), Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo, Burnout Dominator, Monster Hunter Freedom series (even it is much better on PSP) Persona 3 is coming up, Blazblue is coming up and so on!So don't worry about PS2 games to be on PSP. They are coming one by one!

Video files on PS1 CDs were modified MPEG files, and since then those have been improved to MP2 and MP4 (MP3 is audio-only). CG cutscenes are in no way reflective of the system's processing power, because all that's happening is that the system is playing the movie file on the screen the same way your computer does when you, say, watch something on Youtube.
Nope.
Not to go off topic, but I think it would be far more likely that Sony would make PS2 games available for download and play on a PS3... There's no way they're going to bother making ports for the PSP.
