no need to insult the guy... but basically tc, the psp go has no umd drive which means u have to download all your games onto the 16gb built in drive or onto your duo card or whatever and it's smaller supposedly easily pocketable but for the price tag just throw in an extra 50 and get a ps3 XD
The Go is less capable and more expensive. That's about it.
The Go is less capable and more expensive. That's about it.
Less capable? You mean the lack of UMD drive and non replaceable battery then add in bluetooth, it was a great trade off for me. Umds are a pain and I use the bluetooth all of the time. Ohh and being smaller and a lot more PORTABLE then the older archaic models is not a plus at all.Yes it is more expensive but it is new to the market and companies charge a lot for their new product...what do you expect.
The ''it's so expensive'' argumentshould notbevalid.. I remember when I bought my iPod Touch forabout $250for just 8 gigs, plenty of people has one and nobody complains (because it's an apple product).. The Zune HD is $270, I believe.. sure, you get 32 gigs but just for music and videos, the app store sucks, or so I've been told (several times). The PSP Go costs what it should cost.. pricedrop? sure, that would be nice.. but while that happens the Go is still on par with the competition..The price of the PS3 is irrelevant.. yeah, just an extra $50.. so are you going to buy a second PS3 just because of that? The systems are completely different and serve completely different purposes. Instead of complaining about the price of the PSP being so close to the price of the PS3 you should be happy that the price of the PS3 is close to the price of the PSP.The big difference in my opinion is that, likeeejus said, the Go is actually a portable console. The older models are too large to be carrying them around. Although I must admit that the bluetooth capability is very nice too.. (I love my wireless headset..).
well there are a few other things that are different between the 2psp3000 - volume controls on front, easy to reach with your left thumbpspgo- vol controls are on the back, not possible to control easily. thought it was quite awkwardpsp3000 - bigger screenpsp3000 - can play games on umd OR digital games, a choice is nicepspgo - has a sliding smaller screen, which i can imagine will become loose over time, not a great idea if u ask mepspgo - has blue-tooth, useful for headset, but is a wired headset that bad? and if u have a ps3 u can use a ps3 controller.... which might be coolpspgo - internal memory is pretty big, and an expansion slotpsp3000 - no internal memory, but memory sticks are cheap. I bought an 8gb used for $20 a few months backpsp3000- removable battery, so you can have several of them for long tripspspgo - internal battery inaccessible, so when it dies, u gotta charge it back up.overall i think i am happy with the psp2000 i have, and dont plan on ''upgrading.'' The only reason the go exists is a way for sony to make more money selling digital games. it's a joke to pay more for a less capable system. sony should drop the price of the go drasticly if u ask me.http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP/Systems/Compare
The Go is less capable and more expensive. That's about it.
Pretty much this.Don't get the PSP GO because not only is it more expensive in the beginning but also in the long run as games on PSN can cost anywhere from $10-$30 more on PSN than on UMD.Not to mention lots of games aren't even available on PSN, even huuge titles like Crisis Core aren't on there.
