This particular game is! secret agent clank 40 bucks from the PSN and 10 from amazon when I bought it, brand new.. really nowPSN cost $40.00, UMD cost $10.00 and Son ...
No kidding. Sony has priced the Go right out of the market. The prices on the PSN versions of some of these games are just absurd. Only the PSone games tend to be priced reasonably.PSN cost $40.00, UMD cost $10.00 and Son ...
that's bad news for psp go owners that has no options but to get their games on psn, since some games are expensive like the one you mentioned. Their only hope is for a sale on psn.
Pro-tip: Do NOT buy a PSP Go, DO NOT.
I'm glad it's failing. I love my PSP, but PSPgo is the worst idea ever.
It costs them practically nothing to sell these PSN games... they should make a point of at least matching UMD retail prices.
Well, I still love my Go (for the design), but yeah, the pricing is a bit ridiculous on PSN. Instead of following the PC DD market where they have weekend sales and huge random discounts, they seem to be bent on ensuring that prices are artificially high.
i agree with this 100%, its so stupid to sell old games on the psn store more expensive than in umd.

Agreed. like some of those fantastic Steam deals :P. If they had deals like that on PSN.. that would be fantastic!
I still dig the Go (and it's nice to see some new games available for download when they're actually released on the market) but the old games NEED a price drop. I mean, there are games over a year old that still flaunt a ridiculous price tag...and retail stores sell those games for under ten dollars :?.

I agree. Sony should have just focused on marketing and trying to sell the 3000 model 9which I know is selling more than the Go). Getting rid of the UMD drive and making the screen smaller just seemed like a really strange move on Sony's part. The only games I've downloaded from the PSN are a bunch of PS1 games as they're are well priced, the first Disgaea as it's a good price too and the 2 Mercury games. The rest of my games I get on UMD. I prefer physical copies anyway.
This is the reason I sold my pspGo. I really liked it , but you know, chinatown wars is 29.99 on the store and 14.99 on the internet.
Besides, what's the value of DLC? you can't sell it if you want to, and you won't get the chance to say you have a rare game :s ,so sad :'(
This is the reason I sold my pspGo. I really liked it , but you know, chinatown wars is 29.99 on the store and 14.99 on the internet.
I agree that this is bad. There needs to be a UMD adapter for the PSP go or a way to transfer from PSP to PSP Go.
I'm glad it's failing. I love my PSP, but PSPgo is the worst idea ever.
I wouldn't say that it's necessarily a bad idea, just that the way they handled it was junk. Charging 250$ dollars for it, removing UMD compatibility, AND charging outrageous prices on PSN? I could understand it if they had priced it around 150-170 and keeping PSN prices competitive...that would have been a better use of it.

I got a PSP 3000 instead ( upgrade from a 1000 )and haven't regreted it even for a second :D
Was that the new price or used price? I mean of course you're going to get things cheaper when you buy them used.
Was that the new price or used price? A digital game is always new, and it cannot be resold. and sony has no control over prices of games on amazon. i'm sure that many games sold on ebay/amazon etc are stolen or they have reduced prices to clear inventory. but a NEW game on the PSN will be the SAME price as a new game at Bestbuy, target, etc (sales not included). Sony is not worried yet. but if they drop umd support, they will be shocked how much $$$ they will lose from going digital only. but im sure a few psp games at $39 dont bring in the kind of money that the numerus more expensive ps3 games make. the psp will be doomed if they stop producing umd games and keep digital prices the same price, thats just how it is.
Because not many people are willing to pay 40$ for a game that they cant trade in or sell after beating it you are basicly stuck with the game no matter what. It just amazing that sony really though the people were dense enough to not figure it out sooner or later. Its just a rip off.But that is my opinon.

They should have just made it a sperate psp that has games that come out exclusivly for the psp go not recycle games that have been in the market for years. Its just not practical if they had just called it the psp 2 and made new games for it then it would be fine.l
