PSP Go vs. PSP

Hey Guys,Am sure I will get flamed for such a general question, but I have an older big version of the PSP and my wife dropped it today and it is toast. I have about 10 UMD games that I really like, but am also a person who likes new technology. The question is whether or not to spend on an old style PSP 3000 for $129 or go with a new PSP go. I don't really see the upside to the new PSP, and only downside of not being able to play my older games including my new Assassins Creed which I have only played 3 hours of.Is the technology really there for the Go, and is the 3000 going to be obsolete and time soon, i.e, no more UMD's being made.Recommendations are appreciated, flames are tolerated.Best,

get a 3000 and a big memory stick duo. That way you get something better than the go. Only ''new'' thing is bluetooth, but srsly, youwill never need to use itPSP Go vs. PSP
Just buy a PSP 3000. There's really is no upside to the Go. If you buy a memory stick for your PSP 3000, it can do everything that the Go is capable of.
psp 3000 will suit you more since u got umd games

Yeah, because savestates don't count as new because....wait, what? Oh, and I use bluetooth all the time. And I laugh at the notion that the 3000 is ''better.''

To the TC-

For you, if you're satisfied with the original PSPs design, I see no reason for you to get a Go. While you'd be getting a few new cool features with the Go, I don't think it's enough to justify parting with 10 UMD games you actually want to play. I mean, if you don't mind selling them off and rebuying them on PSN and money isn't an issue, Go > 3000, but I didn't get that impression from your post. So pick up a 3000 and enjoy.
If you have UMD games, stick with a PSP 3000. The PSP Go is better for those without a PSP ( Like me :P Although I plan to get one somewhat soon )
I don't see UMDs going away anytime soon, given the relatively poor sales of the Go. My biggest beef with the Go (and digital games in general) is that they want to charge me the same price as the version on physical media, but unlike the physical copy, the digital version has 0 resale value. Also, there's a rumored PSP-4000 in the works which is supposed to keep the UMD drive and, I would guess, would add bluetooth support, meaning you'll still see UMDs on shelves for a while, and you'd get all the features of the Go plus UMD. Or you could get a Go and get the rumored Logitech UMD peripheral.

Get a 3000 and a big memory stick. The go isn't worth $250 and even if it was the same price as the 3000 or lower, I still wouldn't buy it. The 3000 Is better than the go.
Anyone with UMDs they still want to play should stick with a 3000 and if they want the best of both worlds then get a big memory stick as well. I have a 3000 and a 16gb stick which still cost less than the Go! :D
I've got an old PSP-1001 and I like it better than my friend's PSPgo. I'd rather have a PSP-3000 though, as it's an improvement over the 1000.
that's my issue. I don't have a psp but I'm getting one. is the go better for people who don't have one already.
Here in Canada we pay $49.99 for hard copy's and 39.99 for PSN so im satasfied with my Go. plus you stuill get a memory advantage because you can buy a 16GB memory stick and get 32 GB total.
PSP 3000.

Not to mention PSP games drop in price quick, you should never pay 39.99 for a game, unless it is in it's first month of release, after that, if you shop around or buy used you can get it for way less than 39.99.PSN games rarely ever drop in price however.Just another reason why the PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 > GO.
