FTB3 - 6.0Seriously? I enjoyed the demo way more than FTB2! It does so many things right. How can they give it a 6??Is it even POSSIBLE for GameSpot to give ...
This is why they should've had the same reviewer review the whole series, instead of switching off each game. I think the user score speaks for itself. Is it even POSSIBLE for GameSpot to give ...
Exactly. I rarely see the official review as reflecting my own appreciation of a game. User score is far more accurate.
Reviews from users are more reliable if there are a few of them to compare. Though some are too generous and others too harsh.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories scored well here just recently, receiving the same score as it's big brother on the Wii.
Shut up quit your whining, everybody has their own opinion.
This. They are not you, so their views are different.
The review looks accurate and even-handed to me, they just say that there's no inovation, lacking variety, but that it is competent and that the multiplayer and co-op are fun. I'll buy it when the price dips down below $20, bang out the campaign on Hard difficulty, and call it a day. The online will be swamped with cheaters and all-day-players so I'm really not interested in that aspect.Still, for less than $20, it'll be cool.
Well, answering your title for this topic:GTA: Chinatown Wars - 9.5Tekken: Dark Resurrection - 9.1Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - 9All three, and probably some others, have scored 9 or higher. Also, I agree with the reviewer. The control scheme really bothered me in the demo, and the camera sucked. I hate having to use auto-aim, but in this game, I did. Mind you, I only played the demo, maybe the full game has different control schemes and more to offer.
Ahh, this guys got a point though.EVERY good psp games get like 7's or lower while every bloody ds game ever made gets above 9. its stupid.

Stop reading reviews. Problem solved.
Happens even more often when it's a series that has console games. Look at Assassin's Creed Bloodlines. Great free roaming game, good battle mechanics, well adapted controls...scored a 5.5, and what were the complaints? The console games were better. Did they think the PSP was turned into a magical PS3 mini?
Stop reading reviews. Problem solved.
No, problem most definitely not solved. Reviews have a heavy influence on sales, and sales determine whether they will make a sequel. GameSpot is one of the biggest gaming sites, and they have more effect on sales than you may think.
Never took GS's reviews too seriously. Heck, I'd trust an IGN review before theirs. They don't give the PSP the attention it deserves imo. Plus they don't appear to master games before banging out a review, as some things are just blatantly incorrect.Good forums, good faqs/walkthroughs (though thats not really GS) and even a good launch center here and there, but reviews? Not so much..
Heck, I'd trust an IGN review before theirs.
Hey man... i wouldnt go that far :pbut yeah, ign reviewers actually know that the psp version wont be AS GOOD as the console one.pick it up gamespot.

If the games tank, developers will stop developing for this platform.Well, at least the good developers
Though I do like how you can find pretty much all reviews from all other sites for each game through gamespot. It is nice that they present everyones thoughts on each game along with gamespot user reviews, which can be helpful....sometimes.
The review Gamespot posts is the opinion of one person. Hence why I pretty much ignore it. If you want a more accurate description of what the game offers it's best to look at the User Score and read the User Reviews.
For example, I'll never understand why Demon's Souls won Game Of The Year award in 2009, when it's definitely made for a certain type of gamer... hardcore gamers I might say. Uncharted 2 or COD were more realistic choices IMHO.Reviews are still interesting, not for the score, but for the game description. If the description interests you no matter how the score is, you have a clearer wayto seethe game than before.
I dont like gamespot's reviews, i think they are bias against the psp most of the time. How is it that they are constantly at the lower end of all review scores for psp games?
IGN and 1UP game decent scores for FTB3 for looking at it from a stand-alone point. GS keeps thinking in the past how its just the same as FTB1%262. I dont read or care about GS anymore except to post on the forums and for news, but even the news is slow to get to this site.
