No, it is not possible to transfer PS2 games to a PSP. You can buy PS1 games off the PlayStation store, but that's about it.
I was wondering what about those remote play I heard about? Can you do that on ps2 games too or only on ps1/ps3?

And only a few select titles have compatibility with the PS3. The PSP resistance game, for example, can be played with the Dualshock 3 if you own a PS3 and Resistance 2. The PSP version of Assassin's Creed can unlock weapons in ACII on the PS3. And PS1 games that you download from PSN can be played on both the PSP and the PS3, but I don't think they can share the same save file. I could be wrong about that last part though.
