Do you think Greatest hits UMD will soon ...

I was wonder if the greatest hits umd games on the psp will ever disappear, sincesony hasthePSN now?Some umd games gets rare since once they are gone, there is a small chance they won't make it anymore since they could just release the game on the PSN. Did anyone notice this? They might do this if they gonna push the DL copies.Do you think Greatest hits UMD will soon ...

Umd for new games. But what about greatest hits version.
The general consensus as far as I can tell, is that Sony did an epic fail with the PSPgo (excluding present Go owners). That being said, sony is far from stupid and I think they know they'd be cutting their own throat if they stopped releasing UMD games.



I really wouldn't worry about it.

I doubt Sony will release any more Greatest Hits for the PSP as those are on the PSN I think that Sony will just keep releasing the newer games for the PSP. As for older games I don't think Sony will reproduce them I think once that's it they are out of print that's one of the main reasons why I'm finding older PSP games to add to my collection. Plus I've noticed my local game stores the PSP sections are getting smaller and the older games are no longer in stock.

That is so true dude, the psp section is getting smaller and smaller. The ps2 has more games than the psp on walmart where I used to go. Same as in gamestop. So it made me wonder, maybe Sony is pushing DL copies on old games by not reprinting them ( through greatest hits edition). Let's see if we find a Dissidia greatest hits in the future or maybe MGS peace walker (waaaaay in the future), since those games sell really well imo.

No, what he meant is, will ''Greatest hits'' UMDs (if you don't know what that is, it's a reprint of a successful game sales wise) disappear when the PSN is capable of replacing it.

Personally, I don't think it will disappear, as long we're not going DD-only.
